Hello, I’m Scott Gose. I started Faceted Thought in 2010 as a software consulting company. Today it’s my personal site — where I scratch my creative itch to build ideas and explore technology.

I’ve spent twenty-five years across software engineering, consulting, and pre-sales. I work at Elastic.co, the company behind Elasticsearch and the ELK stack, as a Software Engineer.

Building software is both my passion and my hobby. It started at an early age with an Apple IIe, and a steady stream of computers after that. I graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Computer Science.
